Kohara Gear introduces new line of Hardened & Ground Spur Gears with Locking Hubs

June 15th, 2017 - Kohara Gear has developed a new line of metric spur gears that feature hardened & ground teeth and a locking hub. These gears are produced in Modules 2, 2.5 & 3 and feature tooth ranges of 25 to 100 teeth. Made from S45c (AISI 1045 Carbon Steel), the gears are induction hardened to 50-60 HRc on the tooth areas only and are bored to fit the assembled locking hub which is installed on either the face side of the gear or the hub side of the gear.
